An interactive exhibition considering work, rest and leisure. Can rest be a form of resistance in a productivity-obsessed and consumerist world? Who in society is and isn’t free to rest well?
Packed with creative activities, you are invited to contribute to the show by adding your stories, drawings, questions, and challenges. Read about rest and resistance in our library corner; contribute to (and maybe let go of) an endless ‘To Do’ list; spend time popping bubble wrap and visit SAW’s beautiful garden. Sowing Creative Fallow is an opportunity to begin to think deeply about how rest is valued or undervalued in society and how it can make profound transformation; a topic which we hope to investigate further in future.
The Late Shows: Friday 16 May // 6.30pm – 10.30pm
For The Late Shows, we’ll also be making stamps from cork. We’ll be selling* ice cream and lemonade, for you to enjoy while chilling out in SAW’s community garden.
*All profits will support SAW’s work.
